Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse accounting tasks while growing your expertise and contributing to a variety of projects. As part of a dynamic environment, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial operations and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Prepare and post journal entries for routine and complex transactions.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely processing and recording of invoices.

Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Assist in payroll processing and ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards.

Support corporate tax preparation and filing by gathering necessary documentation and ensuring accuracy.

Collaborate with team members to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.

Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely completion.

Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel tools to streamline reporting and data analysis.

Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to special projects as needed. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience in a detail-oriented setting.

Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including pivot tables and complex formulas.

Strong knowledge of corporate tax processes and compliance.

Familiarity with general ledger systems and financial reporting tools.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Preferred but not required: certifications in accounting or finance.
