Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer - Precision Equipment Development (St. Louis, MO)

We're looking for a Senior R&D Engineer to take the lead in developing the next generation of our critical measurement systems used in high-precision manufacturing.

What You'll Be Working On

Leading the design and development of the next-generation capillary tube measurement system.

Turning early concepts and requirements into a functional, manufacturable piece of equipment.

Working with software, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure the system meets performance and reliability goals.

Integrating mechanical and electromechanical components, including commercial actuators, sensors, and encoders.

Testing proto@types, troubleshooting issues, and refining designs.

Creating clear documentation, including equipment manuals and troubleshooting guides, for long-term support.

What We're Looking ForRequired

Strong background in mechanical design for manufacturing equipment.

Experience with precision test systems or equipment involving fluid paths or fluid-based measurement.

Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems, especially positioning devices and encoders.

Comfort taking ownership of a project and driving it through design, validation, and handoff.

Nice to Have

Experience writing equipment manuals or documenting manufacturing processes.

Background in R&D, prototyping, or instrumentation design.

Hands-on build, test, or troubleshooting experience with custom equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
