Role summary:
The Director, Advertising Account Management, MAP, leads strategic initiatives to optimize account performance and drive revenue growth across multiple markets. This role requires strong business acumen to translate complex data into actionable strategies that enhance stakeholder relationships and deliver measurable impact. The director guides cross-functional teams, mentors talent, and ensures seamless onboarding, account planning, and execution of advertising solutions with operational excellence and integrity. This role also plays a critical leadership role in advancing Sam's Club Experiences by integrating media, in-club, and omnichannel moments into cohesive, solutions-based programs that drive member engagement, brand impact, and long-term business growth.
About the team:
The MAP Advertising Account Management team at Sam's Club drives growth through data-driven advertising solutions rooted in first-party membership insights. This high-visibility team partners closely with suppliers, sales, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes across omnichannel media and retail experiences. The group focuses on creating integrated programs that enhance brand impact, shopper engagement, and member value. Team members bring strong expertise in stakeholder management, data analysis, and account leadership, while fostering innovation, professional development, and cross-functional collaboration to advance Sam's Club's retail media and experiential strategy.
What you'll do:
Lead and manage advertising account strategies to align with business objectives and market dynamics.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to influence decision-making and drive business growth.
Analyze complex data and market insights to develop actionable advertising plans and optimize campaign performance.
Oversee onboarding processes and resolve escalated client issues to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
Coach and mentor team members on best practices in account management, sales forecasting, and stakeholder engagement.
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities for product enhancements and support workforce development initiatives.
What you'll bring:
Proven expertise in stakeholder and relationship management to build and maintain strategic alliances across business functions.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data models and reports to inform decision-making.
Extensive experience in advertising sales and account management, including cross-selling and digital advertising strategies.
Demonstrated leadership in workforce development, mentorship, and talent cultivation to build high-performing teams.
Ability to translate business requirements into effective strategies and drive execution aligned with organizational goals.
Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09930: The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279: The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00 - $264,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
