Job Title: Architectural DesignerJob Description

We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing creative design concepts, preparing CAD drawings, and interfacing with clients to resolve design issues. This role requires a blend of artistic vision and technical expertise to ensure that all architectural designs meet project objectives and comply with legal standards.

Responsibilities

Develop and creatively design concepts for clients and projects.

Prepare and produce CAD drawings to document architectural designs.

Interface with clients on design issues and develop architectural solutions.

Modify and review production drawings and construction documents.

Develop solutions for basic to moderate architectural design problems.

Assist with master planning, site planning, and building design using 2-D and 3-D modeling.

Provide creative design direction during the conceptual and schematic phases of projects.

Perform design computations, specifications, and compile data for architectural assignments.

Review building codes and conduct zoning analyses to ensure compliance with legal standards.

Assist in construction administration by reviewing shop drawings and managing project submittals.

Prepare material sample boards and graphic presentations for client meetings.

Coordinate with outside disciplines such as Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Mechanical consultants.

Ensure timely delivery of drawings to meet project goals.

Assist Project Managers and Architects with oversight on basic to moderate projects.

Mentor associates and staff members in architectural design concepts.

Stay current with graphic standards and building construction methods.

Research construction materials and systems.

Essential Skills

4-6 years of experience in architectural design, particularly in healthcare projects.

Proficiency in Revit and space planning.

Strong project management and interior design skills.

Experience in construction documents and project coordination.

Above average architectural design and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong design aptitude and attention to detail.

Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.

Effective communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Architecture with at least five years of architecture and design experience.

At least two years of experience managing multiple project activities.

Experience with site planning and zoning analysis.

Construction administration experience preferred.

General understanding and application of architectural principles.

This is a full remote consulting project. The role is part of a cross-functional team in a growing healthcare design consultancy. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Wayzata, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
