What you'll be doing
You'll be joining CIBC's Enterprise AI Platforms & Solutions team. As an AI Product Business Analyst, you'll translate business goals into actionable AI product requirements and delivery plans across multiple lines of business. You'll lead discovery, define end-to-end business and technical requirements, and partner with product, data science, engineering, risk, and operations teams to bring AI solutions from concept to production. You'll ensure solutions are usable, safe, compliant, and measurable-delivering tangible outcomes for our clients and partners.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.
How you'll succeed
Lead requirements and discovery - Conduct structured discovery with business partners to identify AI opportunities, map current workflows and pain points, and define future-state journeys.
Translate needs into actionable deliverables - Develop clear PRDs/BRDs, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements such as reliability, latency, observability, and privacy.
Define solutions and assess feasibility - Collaborate with data science and ML engineers to evaluate data readiness, model approaches, integration patterns, and human-in-the-loop processes; establish guardrails and explainability requirements.
Manage and prioritize the product backlog - Maintain and refine the backlog, using value, risk, and effort scoring to prioritize use cases; align roadmaps with enterprise strategy and platform capabilities.
Coordinate delivery and ensure quality - Support Agile squads through sprint planning, grooming, UAT, release readiness, and post-release validation; define evaluation plans and success criteria, and coordinate red-teaming as needed.
Ensure governance, risk, and compliance - Partner with Legal, Privacy, Security, and Model Risk Management to uphold responsible AI practices, including data protection, access controls, auditability, bias testing, and model monitoring; document decisions and ensure policy adherence.
Drive change management and adoption - Create enablement materials and training to facilitate adoption; collect user feedback and analytics for continuous improvement.
Measure and communicate outcomes - Define and track KPIs and OKRs (e.g., task completion, cycle-time reduction, accuracy, adoption, client satisfaction, cost-to-serve); provide clear, outcome-focused updates to stakeholders.
Who you are ?
3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or Product Analyst role (or similar), including experience delivering digital or data/AI initiatives in financial services or other regulated industries.

Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and platforms (e.g., LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt design/evaluation, model monitoring, human-in-the-loop, and/or agentic patterns). Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum, experimentation methods (A/B or equivalent), and product analytics; proficiency with collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
