Senior Internal Controls Analyst (onsite/hybrid) Position Overview As a key member of the Enterprise Risk Management team, you will be part of AgriBank's mission to support the people who feed the world.The Senior Internal Controls Analyst works with AgriBank business functions to monitor and enhance internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and works with auditors throughout the year for the Bank to receive an integrated audit opinion. This position also performs evaluations of District Association's ICFR programs in compliance with General Financing Agreement (GFA) covenants. Job Functions Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) - AgriBank Integrated Audit Opinion Responsibilities Prepares the annual scoping document, which assess risk and ICFR controls needed for AgriBank Prepares and maintains documentation for controls within the Bank including duties such as: Updating flow charts and control matrices Retaining control documentation Mapping risks to controls Acts as Lead Administrator of Workiva's Wdesk (ICFR tool) for AgriBank including controlling access, creating test forms and making timely updates as needed Provides Wdesk training and troubleshooting to AgriBank employees and auditors Tracks AgriBank ICFR deficiencies, including working directly with control owners to obtain and discuss remediation plans, safe start test dates, and ongoing remediation progress Monitors and updates change to ICFR controls related to Bank projects, including system conversions Updates current risks and controls (via quarterly certification process) to ensure they meet the Bank and System's requirements and monitor changes (including business structure, projects, etc.) to help ensure changes do not impact the design and/or operating effectiveness of the overall ICFR program Prepares summary of aggregated deficiencies (SAD) for AgriBank Facilitates communication between control owners and internal and external auditors by responding to audit questions and facilitating audit support requests timely Facilitates coordination with ICFR management testers related to design of controls, including communicating control changes throughout the year, tracking status, and answering questions timely Coordinates with all applicable AgriBank departments to obtain and perform updates to the COSO documentation Prepares analysis of all applicable third-party SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports and works with control owners to complete their review Plans ICFR walkthroughs, including scheduling meetings with all appropriate parties, ensuring evidence is provided in advance by control owners, and performs follow-up for any applicable items Association Relationship Management, Reporting, ICFR Support Obtains and examines ICFR documentation to evaluate compliance of the GFA ICFR covenants Recommends applicable GFA observations based on review of Associations' documentation, as applicable Prepare materials for semi-annual meeting to review District GFA results with AgriBank Bank Credit and Relationship Management Monitors ICFR inbox and Responds to Associations' ICFR questions timely Communicates information regarding ICFR requirements to support Association reporting responsibilities and requirements timely Obtains and compiles all ICFR control deficiencies from District Associations and in-scope District service entities for impact on System integrated audit, conducts analysis and follow up on any questions or missing information Communicates AgriBank District SAD to external auditors and Funding Corporation within set deadlines Maintains the ICFR page on the AgriBank District Connect website to ensure information is accurate Reviews continuing professional education (CPE) requirements for annual District ICFR meetings and any other applicable District or System ICFR meetings, maintains documentation for CPE compliance, prepares and sends CPE certificates to applicable participants Attends and participates at annual District ICFR conference System ICFR Support Prepares the System Disclosure Program certifications and ICFR required communications between the Bank and the Funding Corporation Participates in System calls to ensure alignment between the four System Banks for the semi-annual GFA reviews Provide System ICFR required deliverables to the Funding Corporation on or before deadlines Reviews System ICFR workgroup training courses prior to System-wide deployment, as applicable Reviews System ICFR workgroup deliverables prior to System-wide deployment, as applicable This job description is subject to change without notice. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field 2 years of public accounting or other accounting experience 2 years of related controls experience preferred CPA preferred Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job Knowledge Intermediate knowledge of internal controls Intermediate knowledge of GAAP Intermediate knowledge of financial reporting standards and processes Intermediate knowledge of FCA regulations and requirements Intermediate knowledge of SEC rules and requirements Skills Advanced proficiency in office software Microsoft Office Suite Intermediate proficiency with internal controls management software preferred (e.g., Workiva Wdesk) Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Occasional travel required (less than 10%) The AgriBank Advantage You are the key differentiator in the marketplace and ultimately the most important factor in helping us fulfill our mission to support those who feed the world. The typical base range for this role is between $78,000 - $120,000. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience.
