Job Description GPI Geospatial is seeking a LiDAR Technician to work from our Sheboygan, WI office for a role that involves data compilation from LiDAR in a 3D point cloud environment, terrestrial remote sensing field data collection, instrument testing, calibration support, and LiDAR and imagery processing. The ideal candidate is a LiDAR Technician or other mapping technician with a minimum of 1 year of experience. The successful candidate will possess good verbal communication skills, have a positive outlook, and a proven track record in a project-based, schedule-driven environment. For more information, visit: www.gpinet.com Responsibilities: The LiDAR Technician\'s primary responsibility is to prepare existing conditions surveys using TopoDOT and MicroStation software. Preparation of existing conditions surveys includes: 3D feature extraction from mobile LiDAR-generated point clouds. Quality Control checks to ensure delineation of break lines and features is accurate. Quality assurance of one\'s own data set for accuracy, surface/contour generation, crossing chains, feature delineation, project boundary, and mapping scale. The LiDAR Technician\'s secondary responsibility is to assist with mobile LiDAR data collection mission.
