Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Centennial, Colorado. This is a contract position requiring a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger maintenance, along with proficiency in using Tabs3 software.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries to support financial reporting requirements.

Oversee accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.

Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.

Utilize Tabs3 software to efficiently handle accounting tasks and ensure data integrity.

Perform corporate tax-related tasks, including preparation and filing of returns.

Calculate and process sales tax transactions while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.

Conduct regular audits to verify financial accuracy and compliance.

Provide support for month-end and year-end closing activities.

Maintain organized records and documentation to support financial audits and reporting. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong proficiency in Tabs3 software.

Solid understanding of corporate tax processes and regulations.

Experience with sales tax calculations and filings.

Demonstrated ability to perform accurate journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.

Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable functions.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
