What's the job?
Saint-Gobain Glass International is looking for an International Specification manager to develop business with key stakeholders located on the East Cost of the US and to promote our full range of facade solutions and services. This position is directly accountable for accelerating our added value products through technical specification on key fa-ade projects within the Northeast region of United States.
Essential Functions:
Identify and follow up major projects, specifying Saint-Gobain Glass high value-added products, bringing technical support from design phase to sales which means providing glass engineering advice for architects, consulting engineers, general contractors and facade contractors, located on the designated region.
Establish strong executive and decision-maker relationships among these stakeholders during the different stages of a fa-ade project, and convert specification into sales by working very closely with sales colleagues in SGGI North American team as well as SG Glass European teams. Visit architects, facade consultants, investors, main and facade contractors to develop long-term relationships with them, including product presentations and trainings.
Understand our different products and services ranges from all over the world and then adapt the specified products project by project depending on the potential route-to-market, connecting the right teams afterwards.
Provide glass samples and manage mockup process in a complex international environment.
Prepare and give technical trainings (Lunch & Learns) on glass to different stakeholders.
Monitor the specification activity tracked within the CRM system (pipeline, conversion rate, sales, monthly reports). Collaborate closely with the SGGI and SG Glass European teams to make sure specified projects are converted into sales, using the international CRM system.
Support R&D innovation and market analysis by giving feedback from the market to the NA Marketing Manager and European central teams (market trend watch, regulation-standard watch, benchmark of competition products).
Represent Saint-Gobain Glass brand on the fa-ade segment among the key decision-makers players in the Northeast USA, by putting into action Saint-Gobain vision and values.
What do you bring?
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Sales/Marketing, or international Business required; MBA preferred.
5+ years experience within construction industry; 2+ years experience within the specific glass industry required.
5+ years experience selling and account management experience preferred.
Solid in-depth knowledge of the facade market, understanding market needs, channeling the information within the organization.
Experience of managing long term relationships, identifying projects at an early stage, managing the process through the contractual chain to secure projects.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication ability with strong emphasis on listening and can deal with a wide range of audience from investors to glass processors.
Strong sales mindset to find solutions in order to convert specification into sales, in a complex multi-cultural environment with different players and sometimes organization challenges.
Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to collaborate and negotiate.
Strong team player who must be an assertive, self-starter with the self-confidence and ability to represent SGGI and Saint Gobain in a professional manner in order to gain a high level of confidence from a diverse group of customers.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, at all levels of the organization, and able to build long-term effective relationships with customers/partners.

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,260 to $178,540. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
