TITLE: Administrative Assistant SUPERVISOR: Program Director & Assistant Director POSITIONS SUPERVISED: N/A

Position Summary: Provide clerical support to the Program Director and program staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform duties independently, establishing office efficiency and set priorities to meet deadlines.

Perform clerical functions, including typing, filing, answering phones and logging mail.

Process incoming mail and outgoing mail and prepare for the postal service.

Maintains a systematic and organized file for the program.

Maintain Contract, personnel, time sheets and sign-in log files.

Maintain office inventory and other supplies.

Prepare statistical and financial reports.

Draft, copy, fax and file memoranda, letters, and other program documents.

Attending In-service trainings.

Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Good Organizational and Interpersonal Skills

Ability to use a computer for prolonged period.

Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.

Ability to climb flights of stairs.

Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.

Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation.

Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time an in all @types of weather, including inclement weather.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

1-2 years experience

Great communication skills

Bilingual English/Spanish speaking strongly preferred.
