This position is for DISA White House Communications Agency at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District of Columbia. Responsibilities Manages the day-to-day operations of the Visual Information Command, White House Master Control Section. Maintains and regularly accounts for inventoried property and supplies employed by the Visual Information Command. Oversees the operations of various fixed broadcast system installations on the White House complex. Coordinates activities of broadcast technicians. Responsible for all technical aspects of production including on-air broadcast monitoring, live program support, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Responsible for all technical aspects of production to ensure that picture and sound quality meet professional television broadcast and webcast technical standards. Serves as lead audio-visual and teleprompter operator for Senior White House officials during lived and video-taped requirements from the White House Complex. Serves as Archivist and Record Management Custodian to properly catalog and archive in accordance with the Presidential Records Act. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Basic Requirement: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position. Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above the high school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis. OR Experience in the actual @type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes work directly connected with the production aspects of the field(s) of the position to be filled. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-12 grade level, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as experience managing or directing all technical aspects of production, such as picture and sound quality to meet technical standards of the television industry. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. Additionally, prior to reporting for duty the selectee must be found eligible for a DoD Top Secret security clearance with access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI) based upon an Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), AND be approved for Presidential Support Duty in accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5210.55 (Yankee White - Category II, minimum).
