ANALYST III (GXP 2026-24450):
Bowhead seeks an Analyst to join our team in supporting the Strategic Systems Guidance, Navigation and Control Division (GXP) at NSWC Crane.
Position 100% remote
Responsibilities
Essential functions will include:
Performing work such as preparing, receiving, reviewing, and verifying documents; maintaining office records; locating and compiling data or information from files; compiling information for reports; keeping a calendar and informing others of deadlines and other important dates; and similar clerical support work within an organization.
Providing cross-functional support across various mission-critical areas such as logistics coordination
Mentor newly appointed Division Documentation Lead. Contributed to decisions regarding:
Compliance with base and US Navy standards.
Establishing and maintaining efficient processes, and interpersonal relations with decision makers, process owners, external reviewers, and customers.
Operational direction and guidance for writers.
Oversee document data repository
Coordinated with 8 branch managers on document scheduling, status, and delivery.
Mentored emerging leader to assume Division Documentation Lead role; as sounding board for decisions, reflecting probable advantages and consequences.
Train incoming writers
Conven regular documentation team meetings to inform writers of process changes and assure homogeneous application of writing standards.
Provide day-to-day operational direction and guidance for writers in executing document development, collaborating with customers, and moving documents through review cycles within data repository.
Collaborate to create and update division document templates.
Review documents for general quality and adherence to base content specifications and Division formatting specifications.
Elicited and documented information from subject matter experts (SMEs); conferred with SMEs to ensure technical accuracy and clarity of content.
Track documents through all stages of document review and signing; ensured controlled copies were distributed to appropriate personnel in production and testing areas.
Explain production processes to Occupational Safety and Health SMEs to determine that appropriate risk severity was assigned to activities.
Complete required training courses.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or five (5) to eight (8) of experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Solid working knowledge and experience in MS Project Professional and Office applications.
Experience in preparing project baselines, reports and forecasting.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. Applicants who currently hold a secret clearance are strongly encourage to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location
