Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

A large manufacturer located in Anderson, IN is seeking dedicated Warehouse Workers for both morning and night shifts. This role involves learning various tasks within the distribution center, including picking, loading, and receiving. This position is on an open-ended contract basis, with the possibility of permanent placement for outstanding employees as opportunities arise.

Responsibilities

Accurately pick products from designated locations based on order specifications.

Safely operate an electric pallet jack to transport products throughout the warehouse.

Use scanning equipment to ensure correct items are picked and track inventory.

Double-check picked items against order lists to ensure accuracy.

Place picked items onto pallets in a secure and organized manner.

Pull pallets off the conveyor and scan using provided equipment.

Utilize the SAP system to determine the appropriate door for each pallet.

Transport pallets to designated doors using a sit-down forklift.

Ensure all safety protocols are followed during loading and receiving processes.

Unload shipments from trucks, stage areas for next orders, and maintain organized receiving areas.

Essential Skills

Willingness to operate an electric pallet jack.

Willingness to learn and operate a sit-down forklift.

Ability to work in cold temperatures.

Self-motivated and able to stay on task.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with RF scanners.

Previous picking experience in a warehouse environment.

Experience with electric pallet jacks.

Available Shift & Pay

Night Shift: 6:00pm - 6:00am on a 2/2/3 schedule

training for the first two weeks will be Sunday through Thursday, 6:00pm - 2:00am.

$20, increased to $24 after 4 months.

Work Environment

The warehouse maintains a temperature of 45 degrees, and all necessary cold weather equipment is provided. Employees are expected to wear jeans, steel-toed or composite-toed shoes, and are provided with cold weather gear such as bibs and gloves. The shift schedule includes a 2-2-3 rotation with 20-minute paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anderson, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
