Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Charlottesville, Virginia. This role focuses on managing accounts payable and receivable tasks while ensuring accurate and efficient invoice processing. If you have experience with QuickBooks and a strong background in accounting functions, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying and recording expenses.

Manage accounts receivable by tracking payments and ensuring timely collections.

Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts.

Review and address outstanding invoices, ensuring prompt resolution.

Enter and update financial data with precision to maintain up-to-date records.

Prepare and maintain documentation related to financial activities.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions.

Collaborate with team members to support accounting operations and meet deadlines.

Generate reports to provide insights into accounts payable and receivable status.

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks.

Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation procedures.

Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies effectively.

Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Strong communication skills for collaboration and reporting.

Knowledge of standard accounting principles and practices.
