The Brighton Center for Specialty Care is a University of Michigan Ambulatory Care facility dedicated to providing high quality health care services for adults and children. The brand new 2-story facility is located at 7500 Challis Rd. Brighton, MI. Required Qualifications*

If licensed prior to 2016: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or basic MS.

If licensed on or after 2016: Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).

Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship is necessary

Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan

This position requires Primary Source Verification

Desired Qualifications*

Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with rehab equipment recommended

1-3 years of multidisciplinary rehab experience - including experience with prosthetic gait training and at least two of the following diagnoses: Vestibular, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, or Parkinson's Disease

You will evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic neurological and general rehab conditions

You will utilize advanced technological equipment to improve the conditions of the patient and assist in achieving their health goals

You will have the opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge by working in a rich learning environment with experts in the field of neurological and physical rehabilitation.

You will supervise PT Assistants

Work Schedule

This position is full-time, working a day shift. This position will require two closing shifts per week.

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
