The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the 805th Combat Training Squadron Responsibilities Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of 805 CTS, ensuring that DOS (Scheduling Flight) complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Examples of specialized experience includes experience with developing goals and objectives that integrate organization and DOS (Scheduling Flight) objectives, integration, testing, and advanced training of Air Operations Center (AOC) and command and control (C2) operations to include sensitive military capabilities and analyzing technology, developing policy & cost analysis information. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of effective planning, scheduling and program management. With knowledge of JADC2, AOC, and cybersecurity operations and requirements. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to analyze complexities of existing technology, review/revise/develop policy, initiate plans for enhancements, and provide management sufficient technical and cost analysis information, through written documentation and oral briefings, to render informed judgments. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
