Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks to support financial operations and ensure accuracy in reporting. If you have strong expertise in corporate tax, reconciliations, and general ledger management, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with regulations.

Manage sales tax filings and maintain accurate documentation.

Record and reconcile journal entries for financial transactions.

Maintain and update the general ledger with precision and attention to detail.

Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.

Collaborate with team members to support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve accounting practices.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Address and resolve accounting issues as they arise. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax and sales tax preparation.

Proficiency in handling journal entries and general ledger management.

Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and financial account balancing.

Familiarity with balance sheet account reconciliations.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
