Custodian

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across assigned office, restroom, break room, and shop areas. Working independently or as part of a team, this role performs a variety of cleaning and sanitizing tasks, restocks supplies, operates cleaning equipment, and follows all safety and hazard-communication guidelines. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

General Responsibilities

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following.

General cleaning and sanitizing of facility, including offices, 5+ restrooms, conference rooms, break rooms, and shop areas.

Sanitize all high touch surfaces areas.

Re-stock paper products, soaps, and hand sanitizers.

Trash and Recycle disposal.

Vacuum carpet in office areas and rugs in shop area.

Sweep and mop hard floors in break rooms, restrooms, and shop areas.

Clean entry glass doors throughout the facility.

Use Floor Scrubber, Backpack Vacuum, and Carpet Shampooer.

Use safety equipment and PPE while performing job duties as required.

Understand Hazard Communication Regulations and Material Data Sheets.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Necessary Skills, Knowledge & Judgment:?

Must possess solid organizational skills?

Modern cleaning methods, procedures, equipment, and materials.

Thrive in a fast pace and dynamic environment?

Good mechanical aptitude, comfortable working with your hands?

Ability to multi-task and comfortable performing a wide variety of tasks?

Current technologies, personal computer, and associated office software such as word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and/or database software.

Proper lifting techniques

Detail oriented?

Essential Qualifications:

U.S. citizen?

High School diploma or equivalent is required.?

2+ years of custodial experience ?

Physical Demands:?

Lift 20+?lbs.?

Frequent walking around office and shop floor?

Work Environment:?

Work will be conducted primarily in an office and shop environment??

Some travel needed between San Luis Obispo and?Oceano?facilities?
