Profile:Academic Advisor Job Duties: Serve as theSSSSTEMAcademic Advisor
to a caseload ofapproximately60-70students who are members of the UW
Oshkosh Student Support Services (SSS) STEM program.The SSSSTEMprogram
serves120UW Oshkosh students annually.SSSSTEMstudents are
first-generation college (parents have not earned a baccalaureate
degree) students and/or students whose family income meets federally
established guidelines.Students with a documenteddisability may also be
served in the program.The goal of SSSSTEMis to increase the college
persistence and graduation rates of the students it serves.SSSSTEMis one
of the U.S. Department of Education funded TRIO programs. During the
academic year, evening hours on a weekly basis may be required.Evening
hours in the summer and weekend hours during both the academic year and
summer on an occasional basis are required. Key Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of project services under
the direction of the program director and in collaboration with the
other Student Support Services staff members Provide support for an
assigned caseload of student participants in the areas of academic
advising, life skills development, student success development, career
planning, financial literacy, and financial aid and
