Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead product development for minimally invasive surgical devices. This role involves designing electro-mechanical systems, developing proto@types, executing engineering protocols, and supporting design transfer to manufacturing. The ideal candidate combines technical depth with hands-on execution in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of electro-mechanical systems for minimally invasive surgical devices.

Create and revise detailed engineering drawings and models using SolidWorks and GD&T to meet tight tolerances in a regulated environment.

Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency; collaborate with vendors on tooling requirements.

Drive the design process from concept through clinical trials, ensuring compliance with ISO and IEC standards.

Incorporate risk controls into design decisions and documentation.

Support design transfer to manufacturing.

Essential Skills

7+ years mechanical design experience in regulated industries, with a strong preference for medical devices.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Advanced expertise in SolidWorks and GD&T.

Proven experience in design for manufacturing, tooling/fixture design, and manufacturing support.

Strong understanding of materials, mechanics, and tolerance analysis.

Ability to manage projects and interface with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in new product development for medical devices.

Knowledge of risk management integration in design.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
