Job Title: Automation Project ManagerJob Description

This is an entry-level project management position focused on supporting technical projects from start to finish. The role involves coordinating tasks, managing timelines, and ensuring successful delivery under the guidance of experienced managers.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing projects through all phases: planning, preparation, execution, and closeout.

Develop cost estimates and budgets.

Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely completion.

Monitor project progress and resolve issues as needed.

Maintain documentation and provide updates to stakeholders.

Support installation activities, quality checks, and field service teams.

Help identify risks and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Essential Skills

Project management

Automation

Engineering

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Automation engineering

Strong organizational and communication skills

Proficiency with MS Office tools

Familiarity with project management software

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

Basic understanding of math and problem-solving concepts

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)

1-2 years of relevant experience in automation, manufacturing engineering, or semiconductor preferred

Occasional travel may be required (domestic and international)

Must have a valid driver's license

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally

Work Environment

The work environment may involve exposure to mechanical equipment and moderate noise. The company offers a collaborative atmosphere with opportunities to engage in diverse projects such as machine tools, turnkey solutions, AGVs, and automation. The company is Japanese owned, fostering partnerships with other Japanese companies, and has a history of long-term employee retention. Employees can expect visits from the President annually, and a supportive leadership team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Marcy, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $69000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Marcy,NY.
