Industrial Electrician

Primary Functions:

Responsible for preventative maintenance tasks on industrial machinery, maintain industrial equipment as necessary and support production as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspect equipment and components for damage and wear utilizing gauges, measuring devices and experience to determine any necessary actions

Repair, adjust and modify power transmission equipment

Repair, adjust or replace pumps and supporting equipment

Fabricate and repair industrial equipment including welding framework for repairs

Use general shop and hand tools as necessary

Assist line mechanics and electricians as necessary when needed to support production including all of the above listed tasks and other means of support as needed

Respond to unexpected after hour call outs for repair and support

Must be forklift and golf cart certified

Maintain quality service by following organization standards

Maintain 5-S standards and housekeeping

Participate in continuous improvement projects and teams

Follow all safety training and documents for this site.

Ensure optimum operations of equipment by reporting needed maintenance

Report any and all quality related issues to the Supervisor

Work with maintenance in finding issues with the machine(s)

Meet department's key objectives

Participate in Company Safety program

Must understand and follow job specific SOPs

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned consistent with the non-exempt functions.

Qualifications:

Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions in English.

Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees at all levels of the organization.

Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.

Must maintain a positive rating as described in the training/qualification evaluation record as a Maintenance Mechanic.

Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance

Hand-eye coordination.

The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk and hear. Other physical requirements include:

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40#'s without assistance.

Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positions.

Ability to climb ladders up to 60 feet.

Ability to work with arms above head.

Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
