What's the role?
As the Media Direct Sales Account Executive, you will contact new opportunities & new advertising clients to offer local advertising throughout our available cable television networks or other advertising product offerings and special programming. Responsible for achieving sales and engaging new clients, develop proposals, and handle the contract process
How can you add value?
Secure new advertising clients by performing extensive unsolicited calling to develop client list.
Prospect, develop new clients and innovative proposals delivering strategic sales presentations.
Able to negotiate rates under the established parameters when presenting new alternatives and product.
Knowledgeable and acquainted with rates & programming being offered
Meet or exceeds established quotas, once assigned and prepare weekly sales activity reports.
Will work with Media Analyst and its team in gathering support research data to present to clients.
Prepare and review advertising contracts and confirmations and submit new orders, copy instructions and other required documents.
Collect on past due accounts as assigned by supervisor.
May be required to work a flexible schedule that provides needed coverage for customer service levels and/or time sensitive projects.
Available to assist client after hour events and meetings.
May write, assist in production and schedule commercials or assist in the layout and design of print advertising
Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Demonstrate and ensure compliance with Liberty's Customer 1st philosophy, Liberty Latin America policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and all Liberty Safety Standards.
Other functions that may be assigned.
What do you need?
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university. Marketing and/or Advertising preferred.
2 to 5 years of media sales experience including radio, newspaper, TV & other related media.
Other Qualifications:
Full knowledgeable of Media Metrics such CPM rates and shares.
Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Good prospecting and cold calling skills
Knowledgeable within broadcast television and cable industry and media related sales including newspapers and radio
Comprehensive product and market knowledge
Ability to work effectively in a team oriented, high demand and fast paced environment
Outstanding written and oral communications skills
Ability and willingness to travel
Excellent presentation skills
Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
Valid Chauffer license and valid car insurance coverage
