As a Security Officer - State Facility Unarmed Patrol in Elmhurst , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through regular patrols and a visible presence. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with team members. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
Interact with the public and staff in a courteous and professional manner while upholding site-specific requirements.
Assist with access control and verify identification as required by site policies.
Follow all Allied Universal and client site procedures to support a secure environment.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
