Administrative Assistant

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team working in Lexington Park, MD. This is a full-time onsite position.

In this vital role, you will ensure the security and efficiency of our facility by managing access systems, coordinating facility services, and providing administrative support. You will serve as a key point of contact for employees and visitors, fostering a safe and professional environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Enforcing access control policies and managing issuance of visitor badges and credentials

Maintaining access control records, logs, and coordinating with security on access-related incidents

Coordinating visitor check-ins and escorting procedures as needed

Scheduling and coordinating facility maintenance and repairs

Serving as liaison between staff and facilities management for service requests

Monitoring office supply inventory and coordinating vendor services

Supporting meeting and event setup, including logistics and materials

Managing calendars, meetings, correspondence, and travel logistics

Maintaining organized physical and electronic records

Assisting with procurement and inventory of office supplies and equipment

Preparing reports, presentations, and internal documentation as needed

Answering and directing calls and emails in a professional manner

Minimum Qualifications:

0+ years of experience in an administrative role

Associate's degree in any discipline

In lieu of an associate's degree, a high school diploma and 3+ years of experience in an administrative role may be considered

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with proven ability to manage competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience supporting security or facilities operations for a Defense contractor

Familiarity with visitor management systems or facility scheduling platforms

Clearance Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain an active United States Government Secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

Constant operation of office equipment including computer, printer, and copy machine

Ability to move or lift light office supplies and equipment

Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
