The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a First-Line Manufacturing Manager to join the team located in Smithfield, PA.

Position Responsibilities

Shapes a culture of safety and well-being through personal behavior and accountability within the organization.

Develops and engages team to instill a 0 tolerance for FOD and a commitment to first time quality and safety.

Manages employees performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines.

Applies understanding of cost management principles and develops strategies to ensure performance to operating budgets.

Ability to review and execute plans, make adjustments and resolve issues impeding production.

Proficiency in quality procedures and process compliance.

Creates a culture of continuous improvement.

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.

Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

More than 1 year of experience leading or managing a team or project.

More than 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, fabrication or maintenance, repair and overhaul environment.

More then 3 years of experience with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

Experience with earned value management/budget management principles and practices.

Experience implementing lean manufacturing and/or other process improvement methodology.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $104,550 to $141,450
