Summary You will serve as an Inventory Management Specialist in the Nuclear Stock Control Section, Nuclear Material Support Branch, Nuclear Material Management Division, Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department, of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will be technically responsible for the complete inventory management of all nuclear reactor plant component supporting the naval fleet and associated activities. You will receive material from various sources and ensure that material is inspected, tested, refurbished, and certified as acceptable for use prior to induction into the Navy Supply System. You will attend work conferences in order to monitor performance, disseminate priorities, and ensure the workload schedules correspond with fleet and stock system requirements. You will gather data from various weekly reports to write monthly and quarterly reports as required by NAVSEA and NAVIPC. You will complete and present, in final form, special projects as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with nuclear material procedures, related nuclear material control regulations and other material policies. Experience with the inspection levels for nuclear material to determine inspection requirements of material. Experience working with enterprise Business Solutions (EBS), Receipt Inspection Management System (RIMS), SECNET, and Nuclear Job Material Lists (NJML), or similar systems. Experience with security regulations relating to the safeguard and handling of classified information and material. Experience analyzing problems, researching or collecting data required, recommending action for resolution of a problem based on past experience. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience articulating, presenting, and promoting varied ideas and issues clearly and effectively, including sensitive or controversial topics to a wide range of audiences. Experience making clear and convincing oral presentations, clarifying information as needed. Experience monitoring progress and evaluating outcomes to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Experience determining objectives, setting priorities, and ensuring sound management processes and procedures are in place, ensuring that national interests are well served. Experience complying with established control systems and rules.
