DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Custodial Worker 1, you will provide housekeeping services to support efficient operations throughout Norristown State Hospital. Work involves mopping, vacuuming, and sweeping floors, as well as cleaning windows and dusting furniture. You will also be responsible for ensuring all waste is disposed of properly. You can expect to move furniture and equipment, help with snow removal, and maintain dietary areas and equipment. You will have the opportunity to clean and prepare buildings to house outside functions such as trainings, dinners, conferences, patient advocate activities, and events.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule will rotate every 4th weekend and holidays as assigned.
Schedule may changed based on operational need and overtime may be required.
Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
