Job Description

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Coral Gables on January 15-16, 2026. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026.

The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You'll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Friday, interviews will take place at our Coral Gables office . This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Architecture Designer to be based in Coral Gables, FL .

AECOM's Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture. With a range of expertise from strategy and design through project realization, we create better outcomes to grow economies, protect natural systems, conserve natural resources, make societies more equitable and connect and engage people through innovative, sustainable design solutions.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.

Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.

Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.

Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.

Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.

May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.

May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in AutoCAD 2010 (or higher version).

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project.

Revit experience preferred.

Demonstrate enthusiasm, highly motivated and detail oriented.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Able to work well with clients, staff and consultants.

This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Coral Gables, FL. The selected candidate must be available to work in Coral Gables, FL on a scheduled basis.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $24.95 to $37.
