Job Summary
The Money Market Portfolio Manager is responsible for the management of the organization's 2(a)7 mutual funds and the overall management of the organization's cash holdings across multiple accounts and portfolios. The role owns portfolio construction, risk management, and compliance with SEC Rule 2(a)7 and internal risk guidelines.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
Leads day-to-day management of short-term fixed income portfolios and various cash management mandates focused on capital preservation, daily liquidity, and competitive yield.
Actively manages and collaborates with trading desk to execute trades in short-term instruments including U.S. Treasury bills, commercial paper, agency securities, and collateralized repurchase agreements.
Ensures continuous compliance with SEC Rule 2(a)7 and internal risk management guidelines.
Maintains portfolio WAM/WAL, quality, diversification, and maturity structure within policy limits.
Manage, develop and maintain strong relationships with securities dealers and counterparties including sales coverage, traders, and syndicate desks.
Manages the organization's securities lending effort. This includes managing the Securities Lending Trust as well as relationships with our securities lending agents.
Produces periodic commentary related to Federal Reserve policy developments and expectations, liquidity conditions, flows, and broadly communicate these to senior investment management, portfolio management teams, and trading desk.
Present portfolio strategy, risk metrics, and performance updates to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
Required:
Master's degree in finance, business administration, another related field, or CFA designation.
Seven or more years experience managing or assisting in management of money market portfolios or short-term fixed income.
Strong understanding of liquidity risk management, credit markets, and monetary policy operations.
Strong analytical and technology skills, including proficiency with Blackrock Solution's Alladin OMS, Bloomberg, and Excel.
Preferred:
Master's degree in finance, business administration, another related field and CFA designation.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $206,040.00 - $278,759.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
