Role summary:
The Manager, Workforce Planning leads the development and execution of strategic workforce initiatives to support business objectives. This role involves coordinating cross-functional projects, analyzing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities, and driving continuous enhancement of planning processes. The position requires building strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring compliance with policies, and fostering associate development through coaching and mentoring. About the team:
The Workforce Planning team within Customer Engagement Services ensures optimal staffing to support Walmart's customer care operations. By aligning demand forecasts with business needs, the team enables seamless, human-centered support at scale. This team collaborates closely with operations, business units, and data science to interpret business changes through data, driving informed staffing decisions and proactive readiness. Focused on forecasting accuracy and capacity alignment, the team plays a vital role in maintaining efficient and responsive customer service, supporting Walmart's commitment to delivering consistent and reliable assistance to its customers.
What you'll do:
Coordinate and oversee workforce planning activities by developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to support business needs and initiatives.
Manage workforce planning projects by setting priorities, developing action plans, allocating resources, and monitoring progress toward milestones.
Drive continuous improvement by analyzing performance data, identifying root causes, and recommending solutions to enhance programs and processes.
Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while promoting ethical standards and integrity.
Develop and evaluate business tools and statistical models to support strategic initiatives and data-driven decision-making.
Communicate project status and results effectively with cross-functional partners.
What you'll bring:
Proven experience in workforce planning and project management within complex operational environments.
Strong data analysis skills with the ability to develop and interpret statistical models and business tools.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Effective communication skills to present insights, influence partners, and drive alignment on goals and initiatives.
Commitment to compliance, ethics, and integrity in executing business processes and managing risks.
Leadership experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing associates to achieve high performance.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
