Job Title: Entry Level Simulation & Test Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking talented individuals to join our Research team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and be creative, resourceful, independently motivated, and detail-oriented. Responsibilities include radar signal parameter analysis, radar signal simulation development, test plan development and execution, test analysis and reporting, QA, and software design and development. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret radar signal parameters.

Develop radar signal simulations.

Create and execute test plans.

Conduct test analysis and compile reports.

Perform quality assurance tasks.

Design and develop software applications.

Review and interpret RF data and other parametric information.

Develop and program RF simulations for lab testing.

Maintain simulation documentation and configuration control procedures.

Manage file libraries with programmed simulations.

Essential Skills

Experience with RF and test equipment.

Experience in Electrical Engineering, Simulation, and Modeling.

Proficiency in data analysis and coding.

Strong skills in Excel and test plan development.

Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Math, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science.

1 year of relevant experience, including internships.

Experience with RF testing or software such as MATLAB, Labview, and Excel.

GPA of 3.0 or above.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

The position is based on the Aberdeen Proving Ground base. The role involves familiarizing oneself with potential threats to aircraft and simulating those threats in a hex file. The work emphasizes problem-solving skills and discipline, rather than typical design or development tasks. Extensive training will be provided to new hires on creating and analyzing threat simulation files.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.65/hr.
