We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we're all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?
Launched in 2023, Integrated Services creates and markets new customer experiences by integrating hardware, software and services across Ford Blue, Model e and Ford Pro. These products and services allow Ford's retail and commercial customers to customize their vehicles like never before with OTA (over-the-air)-driven experiences that grow better over time. Ford is developing leadership at the forefront of connected, digital platforms that will revolutionize every aspect of how vehicles function, the way people interact with them, and the value those vehicles provide.
In this position...
Are you a technically grounded Product Manager passionate about leveraging data to solve complex real-world problems? Do you thrive in challenging cross-functional environments and believe that product quality is paramount?
We are seeking a skilled and resilient Vehicle Health Product Manager to own the strategy, definition, and delivery of actionable vehicle health insights for Ford and Lincoln connected vehicles. In this role, you will bridge the gap between deep technical data analysis, advanced ML models, and tangible customer and business value, focusing relentlessly on the accuracy and trustworthiness of the insights delivered. You will be instrumental in transforming raw vehicle signals into intelligence that proactively enhances vehicle uptime, improves the customer experience, and drives revenue opportunities across retail & commercial fleet.
What you'll do...
Define & Deliver High-Quality Insights: You will own the end-to-end lifecycle for vehicle health insights, from identifying high-impact opportunities to ensuring successful delivery and adoption by customers, dealers, and fleet partners.
Inspect and Architect Intelligence Loops: You'll work side-by-side with data scientists and engineers to review system design, data lineage, and model logic. Every insight that ships should withstand forensic scrutiny.
Define "Truth" in a World of Imperfect Data: In the real world, ground truth is rare and messy. You will be the leader who defines our approach to validation, creating robust methodologies and statistical benchmarks to rigorously measure and prove the accuracy of our models.
Champion Uncompromising Quality: You will be the ultimate authority on product quality, setting the bar for what makes an insight "ready for production." You will define the critical metrics and establish the confidence thresholds that determine when an insight is ready to be shared with customers, dealers, or fleet managers.
Translate Complexity into Clarity: Whether you're in a model review with Data Scientists or a dealer strategy session, you'll articulate how insights are formed, what they mean, and what confidence they carry.
Orchestrate Across Systems: Work cross-functionally with telemetry, ML, diagnostics, and customer teams to ensure our predictions align with how the vehicle, the cloud, and the business actually behave.
The Role is For You If:
You connect technical details to business outcomes - you know SQL, you can read code, and you can ask the right technical questions that expose weak assumptions.
You see data validation not as a checkbox, but as the soul of the product.
You're unafraid to challenge engineers, modelers, or extended teams when the math doesn't line up.
You are resilient and composed, thriving in environments with high technical complexity and cross-functional ambiguity.
You believe product management is an engineering discipline that steers and coordinates real ROI outcomes.
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, etc.).
8+ years of experience in technical or systems-level product management, preferably across ML, analytics, or predictive intelligence.
Deep working knowledge of data science and model validation, including drift detection, inference systems, and metric design.
Hands-on SQL skills; capable of exploring datasets, investigating anomalies, and validating assumptions.
Proven ability to define and defend metrics that matter: precision, recall, F1, lift, calibration, and business impact.
Demonstrated success managing cross-functional technical systems (e.g., telemetry ingestion, ML pipelines, data normalization).
Strong communication skills: able to simplify complexity and instill confidence in data-driven systems.
Must be willing and able to work onsite in Dearborn, MI a minimum of four days a week. This is not a remote role and relocation is not offered.
Even better, you may have...
Experience with vehicle telemetry, diagnostics, or embedded systems.
Familiarity with advanced statistical methods (e.g., Bayesian inference, causal inference) for handling uncertainty.
Experience writing detailed product requirement documents (PRDs) for complex, data-heavy features.
Ability to guide engineers and scientists without ego - through rigor, not rank.
You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home?
