Datacenter Fiber Installation Technician

Description

We're hiring multiple Entry-Level Cable Technicians for a large-scale data center project in Altoona, IA. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in structured cabling and grow your career in tech infrastructure.

You'll work alongside experienced technicians and team leads to help build out the cable infrastructure for a major data center. Responsibilities include:

Pulling cable and fiber

Learning color codes

Punching down and terminating fiber

Installing cable trays and pathways

Building server racks

Most technicians will start with installing cable trays and assembling server racks.

Location:

Start: Altoona, IA (6-month assignment)

Relocation: Lebanon, IN or Cedar Rapids, IA (long-term)

Skills

Cat6, Cat5, cabling, cable installation, punchdown, fiber optic cable, structured cabling, data center experience, military communications (a plus)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Punctual and team player, flexible on hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
