Responsibilities Joining the Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology will allow you to use your experience in applications software, policies and procedures. This position starts at a salary of $105,383.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $137,000.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $161,889.00 (GS-14 Step 10). Typical work assignments include: Implementing and maintaining FISMA / FedRAMP security authorization documentation but not limited to a Systems Security Plan (SSP). Managing vulnerabilities and developing compliance plans for remediation and mitigation of security systems and infrastructure. Qualifications Basic Requirement: Individuals qualifying based of experience must have Information Technology (IT) related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Implementing and maintaining IT security systems that anticipate, identify, evaluate, mitigate, and minimize risks associated with IT systems vulnerabilities. Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and operational policies under the direction of senior staff. Reviewing and enforcing policy, directives, procedures, and related guidance for IT/Information Assurance/Telecommunications. Coordinating policy and guidance with DHS/CBP activities to ensure adherence in the development of automated systems and programs. Reviewing user requirements and advise customers on hardware/software upgrades to meet mission objectives.
