The Process Engineering Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the design, implementation, and optimization of production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. This role involves leading a team of engineers, analyzing production data to identify and solve problems, and collaborating with other departments to ensure processes are effective and meet company goals. Key responsibilities include developing process improvement strategies, managing projects, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role may have direct leadership of process engineers, manufacturing engineers and tool room machinists.
Kurt Manufacturing is looking for a results-driven, strategic Process Engineering Manager who leads teams, improves processes, and drives efficiency, quality, and safety across our operations.

Shift/Hours: 1st Shift 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
Compensation:
The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $104,000 to $139,000. The exact salary may be determined on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.
Essential Functions
Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
Lead, mentor, and guide a team of process engineers in their technical contributions and development.
Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility, optimizing process systems for operational efficiency and cost savings.
Analyze production and process flows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Manage internal process improvement projects, including budgeting and resource allocation.
Work with other departments, such as R&D and production, to streamline operations and support product development
Ensure processes comply with safety and quality standards and conduct risk assessments.
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, quality, and production.
Offer solutions to problems outside of current parameters and construct and provide recommendations.
Promptly resolve engineering and production issues and troubleshooting problems with processes, equipment and tools.

Required
High School Diploma or equivalent GED
Official Technical Degree
5+ years' experience in management and/or technical leadership
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and improvement methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to provide constructive performance coaching to peers and direct reports, both individual contributors and supervisors to ensure desired outcomes
Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma quality processes
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
Official training in Tool & Die
5+ years' experience in management and/or technical leadership in Tool & Die Field
10+ years of experience in set-up, operation and process development with die cast machines, preferably Buhler, Prince and Weingarten machines
A strong understanding of complex die cast tools

100% employee owned, Kurt Die Casting is a division of Kurt Manufacturing and located near Minneapolis, MN. Employees at our die casting facility can gain experience in multiple areas of manufacturing including aluminum and zinc die casting, CNC machining, automation, and quality control. We have over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space with the capacity and capability to service a diverse set of customers and industries. Kurt Die Casting features 20 CNC machining centers and 15 die casting machines ranging in size from 500 to 1,200 tons. Many of the castings we produce feature challenging designs that require secondary operations such as machining, finishing and assembly.
