Job Title: Team Lead Location: Manitowoc Job Type: Full-Time Department: Fabrication Department Job Summary: We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented team leader to join our Fabrication team in Manitowoc. This role plays a key part in supporting production operations by ensuring technicians have the materials and resources needed to maintain workflow, while also tracking downtime and quality metrics. This position also serves as a backup to the Production Coordinator. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Production Coordinator with daily operations, job setup, and technician support Monitor production flow and ensure technicians have necessary materials Coordinate packaging and skidding of fabricated parts Troubleshoot fabrication equipment (presses, saws) Maintain production display boards and document downtime/quality issues Step in to assist with production tasks as needed Suggest and support productivity and efficiency improvements Promote and maintain a clean, safe work environment Train new employees on PPE and safety protocols Qualifications and Skills Needed: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Prior leadership or production support experience preferred Strong communication and decision-making skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email Familiarity with BPCS system or willingness to learn Solid understanding of fabrication processes and product knowledge Why join the KI Team?
