Boeing's Global Real Estate and Facilities organization is seeking an Experienced Facilities Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering and Technology (E&T) team in Ridley Park, PA .
In this role, you'll be part of a high-performing engineering team, where you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills and collaborate with professionals across the U.S. You'll play a key role in both day-to-day operations and long-term projects; ranging from overseeing urgent equipment repairs to supporting major planning and construction initiatives. Your primary focus will be supporting site electrical infrastructure **.
Position Responsibilities:**
Provide input to infrastructure planning; complete studies; analyze current conditions and future requirements; recommend capital improvements; gather and analyze data; and work with both internal and external customers in order to identify and assess alternatives and impacts
Develop routine conceptual designs, final designs, cost estimates and provide maintenance support for the electrical phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds
Align electrical designs with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials
Assist others to integrate the activities of multiple engineering disciplines, outside consultants and government agencies
Develop analysis to determine the cause of asset failures and reduction in asset capacity by using reliability tools and methods (e.g., life cycle analysis, condition-based maintenance, root cause failure methodology, mean time between failures, fault tree analysis, etc.)
Ensure accuracy of drawing archives/libraries
Support construction projects by providing input on vendor selection; reviews contractor proposals; interface with government/regulatory agencies
Prepare and present project information to ensure compliance with applicable construction documents and jurisdictional requirements and to meet project objectives
Use appropriate resources to produce project drawings, specifications, and permit application packages in accordance with project parameters
Translate customer requirements into design options with documents and estimates; identify appropriate materials, equipment, and services by applying engineering principles and methodology
Collect customer requirements; assist in the creation of contract scope; participate in conceptual design by analyzing intended use/occupancy and desired aesthetics, code research, and the development of preliminary design elements
Estimate resource costs/requirements, identify materials, equipment, and services, and develop preliminary project schedule in order to establish project scope
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
3+ years of experience reading and interpreting technical documents and/or drawings
3+ years of experience working in an electrical engineering role
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Professional Engineer (PE) license
5+ years of experience with building and safety codes
3+ years of experience leading construction projects
3+ years of experience with lean processes and initiatives
Experience working in a production environment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $108,800-$147,200
