Description We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Eugene, Oregon. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone with a strong background in manufacturing accounting and expertise in cost analysis. The role requires hands-on experience in financial operations and proficiency with advanced tools to support critical business processes.

Responsibilities:

Manage month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Perform comprehensive general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations.

Conduct detailed cost analysis and variance evaluations to support business decision-making.

Oversee costing processes, including bill of materials and cost variance analysis.

Utilize Microsoft Excel and Power BI to create reports and analyze financial data.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting challenges and improve workflows.

Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations in all accounting activities.

Assist in preparing financial statements and support audits as required.

Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Serve as an on-site resource for accounting operations, ensuring alignment with manufacturing goals. Requirements

Proven experience in accounting roles within a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger work, and journal entries.

Strong expertise in costing, bill of materials, and variance analysis.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI for financial reporting.

Familiarity with ERP systems,

Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and present findings.

Commitment to delivering high-quality work within strict deadlines.
