Our client, a government agency specializing in law enforcement support, is seeking a Secretary to join their team. As a Secretary, you will be part of the administrative support staff supporting detention center operations and management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Secretary

Location: Williamston, NC

Pay Range:

Shift: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, occasionally work hours will alternate to meet needs of agency outside the regular work day of 8-5.

What's the Job?

Provide clerical and administrative support services to detention administration personnel and jail commission board.

Answer multi-line telephone systems, take messages, answer questions, and refer individuals to appropriate sources of assistance.

Attend board meetings, compose and @type meeting minutes, and prepare departmental communications and reports.

Manage inventories, order and stock office supplies, and handle confidential personnel records and administrative files.

Collect monies for inmate commissary accounts and submit monthly reports to relevant agencies.

What's Needed?

High school diploma or equivalent; at least 21 years of age.

One year of experience in a related field or specialized administrative work.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
