Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
\
Review accounts to assist producer in obtaining other lines (e.g.,
personal lines, life insurance and investment opportunities, etc.).\
Maintain a proficient knowledge of insurance company underwriting
criteria and agency marketing policy. Review and maintain agency and
company manuals on an up-to-date basis and assist with maintaining
rating system.\
Develop and maintain a proficient level of knowledge of the agency
systems, workflow, claim processes, procedures and automation needs
(Applied System).\
Prepare, underwrite and proof proposals, reviewing them for completeness
and accuracy and maintain records of proposals within the Applied
System.\
Initiate cancellation notice for non-payment to insured and company as
requested by producer.\
Deliver applications for insurance and/or policy orders to company and
perform second request follow ups as required.\
Set up account file manual/automated, establishing clients identifiers
and client/policy file folders, within the Applied System. Prepare and
issue binder, pre-bills and certificates as applicable.\
Handle client telephone and mail requests for information, endorsements,
cancellations and other services as required; update Applied System with
new information.\
Review Applied System suspense on a daily basis, re-suspending or
handling items as appropriate.\
Gather information about losses from claimants and/or insureds logging
notification, verifying inforce policy coverage and establishing claim
file if applicable. Prepare and transmit ACORD notice to company
coordinating adjustment as required. Phone urgent claims into companies
as needed. Enter accurate claim information into the Applied System.\
Administer bank deposits of BIS customers.\
Must stay current on insurance procedures and requirements by attending
classes and seminars and passing related tests and examinations.\
Distribute agency mail as necessary.\
Maintain and order supplies.\
Assist other CSRs as needed.\

Education/Experience:\
High School diploma or equivalent.\
One to three years of experience and high level understanding of
insurance agency operations.\
Knowledge of Applied System.\
Must have an IL insurance producer license and ability to attain
non-resident licenses as needed.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:\
Strong customer service orientation.\
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.\
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers,
co-workers or vendors.\
Ability to write routine correspondence and communicate effectively and
tactfully, orally and in writing with employees, customers, vendors and
management.\
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid
conclusions.\
Must understand and comply with company policies and procedures.\
Ability to oversee goals and projects and ensure they are completed in a
timely manner.\
Must have the ability to maintain a friendly, helpful and courteous
attitude when working with customers or co-workers under diverse
conditions.\
Experience in managing customer relationships.\
Must have the ability to accurately and quickly complete standard
mathematical calculations.\
Ability to use a calculator, computer and applicable software.\
Ability to use Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office
programs, specifically Word, Outlook andExcel.
