Description We are looking for an experienced HR Director to join a non-profit organization in Los Angeles, California, on a contract basis for a six-week assignment. In this role, you will provide leadership and guidance on human resources operations while supporting staff and ensuring compliance with HR policies. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in HR leadership, particularly within mission-driven organizations.

Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee daily HR operations, including employee relations, onboarding, and benefits coordination.

Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR practices with organizational goals during the interim period.

Provide support for employee performance management and ensure adherence to company policies.

Manage HR compliance, documentation, and recordkeeping in line with state and federal regulations.

Facilitate effective staff communication and address sensitive employee matters with discretion.

Ensure continuity of HR operations by participating in cross-training and knowledge transfer activities.

Offer hands-on guidance for compensation and benefits processes.

Act as a resource for staff, addressing HR-related inquiries and providing solutions.

Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all HR interactions and decisions. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.

At least 5 years of progressive experience in HR management roles.

Demonstrated expertise in HR administration, compliance, and employee relations.

Prior experience in non-profit or social services environments is highly desirable.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles, California, and interact with a diverse team.

Availability to begin immediately and commit to a six-week contract position.
