Volt is immediately hiring Lab Tech II with a well-known industry leader in Maplewood, MN. In this role you will use strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to develop specialized nonwoven processes and products. . As a Lab Tech II you will: s Configure, operate, and maintain nonwovens process equipment Measure the properties of and characterizing nonwoven materials Keep detailed record keeping and communication of technical work and results Follow and develop standard operating procedures Maintain a safe and organized work environment Material handling, including lifting pails, moving pallets, and completing other duties as assign This is a first shift position. Estimated Duration up to 24 months. The ideal candidate will have: Associates Degree or Two-Year Technical program certificate or higher in mechanical, electrical, materials, electrical, or process engineering or a similar field Two (2) or more years of experience in nonwovens or fiber processing, web processing, or roll-to-roll processing Two (2) or more years of experience in process or product development using 5S, Six Sigma, SPC or similar methodologies Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability and desire to excel in a highly interdisciplinary, team-oriented work environment High school diploma/GED or higher is require Associate's degree in Engineering preferred but not required Pay Rate: $29.77 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
