Cribl Inc is looking for a backend focused Mid-level Software Engineer to collaborate on a remote-first, diverse, inclusive, cross-functional team of software developers focused on expanding the integration of Cribl Search with 3rd party providers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to continue to shape the future of Cribl Search by expanding development on a novel distributed and federated search system for in-place data. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with an eye towards observability and resilience

Collaborate with peers and cross-functional team members as you contribute to meeting project goals and acceptance criteria

Work to meet and refine the software development practices that make our team effective - everybody's feedback helps shape our process

Work on a mix of tech debt, bug fixes, and new features

Participate in the entire software development lifecycle from requirements and design to testing, deployment, and production support/monitoring

Share on-call and take part in team that embraces a model of service ownership

This position will require stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties

If You've Got It - We Want It

You are a self starter, require minimal supervision and have a track record of learning quickly

Ability to problem solve from first principles and maintain focus on overarching objectives

Experience with data structures and algorithms

Experience with agile processes and rapid iterative development

Experience in developing distributed systems and working with data at scale

Experience working in a dynamic and highly-innovative environment
