JOB SUMMARY
The role of the Director, Marketing & Communication, is to enhance the visibility, reach, and impact of Person Centered Services' mission. The Director is responsible for the vision, execution, and oversight of all internal and external communication and strategies for all work carried out by the Marketing & Communication Department. This includes building and protecting the reputation of the company through traditional, digital, and social platforms. The role provides complex communication management, consultation, communication planning, implementation, and recommended solutions for multiple programs and projects (targeting both internal and external audiences) to meet organizational brand and reputation goals. The role provides guidance on implementation and recommended solutions for multiple programs, including communication with media, government constituents, and regulatory bodies, as well as advertising, community partnerships and sponsorships, and assistance cross functionally for internal communication to further business goals. In collaboration with the leadership team, the Director develops and oversees marketing and business development goals .
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
General:
Develops integrated (internal and external) communication plans including development of communication positioning, messaging, and tactics consistent with the Person Centered Services brand.
Serves as a communication adviser and strategist to executives and leaders in support of business goals and strategies.
Serves as a leader to marketing and communication, team and promotes a culture of high performance, customer service, and commitment to quality
Builds communication awareness, understanding and credibility of organizational strategies to support the organizational goals.
Engages and coordinates across executive stakeholders and subject-matter experts to ensure strategic business objectives are supported through integrated internal communication programs that represent stakeholder perspectives and meet business needs.
Provides high-quality communication services: writing, editing, research, design, production, program management, etc.
Ensures work is completed on time and within budget.
Assigns, tracks, and manages communication consultants/specialists and other professionals as needed to support the development and implementation of strategic communications plans, programs, and projects.
Manages a portfolio of projects, ensuring timelines met, objectives met, and budgets managed.
Designs and delivers executive communications for CEO and the executive leadership team.
Advises the business leaders regarding communication activities best suited to achieving their business objectives.
Serves as a liaison cross functionally with other team members to ensure consistent application of brand standards, style guides, and other processes and procedures.
Serves as a collaborator and an integrator with others.
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication policies, procedures, and standard operating practices (SOPs) to ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. Oversee the creation, documentation, and execution of these guidelines across all channels and teams, ensuring best practices are maintained and regularly updated to reflect evolving industry standards and organizational needs.
Communications:
Manages all corporate communication - including but not limited to media (both proactive and reactive), large scale provider communication and individuals/families/advocates (in collaboration with community and provider relations).
Works in close collaboration with Developmental Disability Provider Network Communication Leads to establish and maintain consistent messaging.
Collaborates with internal partners for communication strategies including employee and management communication, operational communication for the Care Coordination team members and all areas within the corporate office functions.
Manages the company intranet and other internal communication sources (including but not limited to text messaging systems, company website, and intranet)
Participates in Partnership and Sponsorship Relationship management, including but not limited to: DDAWNY, CCO groups, local, regional, state or national advocacy groups.
Manage the sponsorship and company-sponsored event process, including developing and maintaining checklists and workflows to ensure seamless execution. Responsibilities include tracking sponsorship commitments, identifying and coordinating with points of contact, overseeing event-related collateral and giveaways, and ensuring compliance with liability and risk management requirements.
Responsible for crisis management communication.
Monitor and analyze news, industry trends, and current events to identify developments that may impact members and team members. Provide timely insights and recommendations to leadership and relevant departments, ensuring proactive communication and strategic response to emerging issues.
Marketing and Business Development:
Responsible for the marketing and collaborates with community/provider relations team on outreach strategy and business development plan for all key stakeholder and constituent groups, including collaboration with all functional areas within the Company.
Oversees design and deployment of Company branded collateral, including orders, inventories, creative input to all outgoing collateral.
Oversees development of company Website and Intranet content as applicable, consistent with established branding and mission, vision and values.
Responsible for all official company social media content, with the exception of career and job postings, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and related sites.
Leads marketing and communication team
Policy Development and Reform Management
Work with developmental disability lobbyists, as well as contracted or partner resources.
Advance political agendas of the Company to impact policy and regulatory reform.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field, required.
Master's degree in related field, preferred.
Experience: Seven to ten years of experience in marketing and/or communication, preferably in a healthcare or human services setting, required. At least seven years' experience in internal and/or corporate communication
