As an Advanced Chemical Engineer here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will employ critical thinking in a clean room environment. KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
Support operations in troubleshooting daily process issues as needed
Perform root cause analysis and implement process changes/control plans to drive continuous improvement and to improve baseline safety, quality, production, and cost performance
Participate in site HSE and Process Safety Management programs, including Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and Incident Investigations
Identify and monitor Key Process Indicators to sustain optimal plant operations and deliver on production, yield, and cost targets
Work closely with other site engineers to develop and implement innovative engineering solutions to improve OEE
Mentor and train operations staff on unit design and intended/optimal operation Have a presence on the floor with front-line workers to find solutions
Utilize Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools to drive process improvements
Develop capital project scopes of work and associated process packages to improve or maintain unit operations

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
4+ years of experience in chemical industry with at least 2 years in a production or process engineering role within a PSM regulated chemical manufacturing facility.
WE VALUE:
Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing
Excellent computer literacy
Experience with identifying process changes and recommendations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work without guidance or supervision
Working knowledge of RAGAGEP
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with typical chemical process equipment
Familiarity with HS&E regulations and life critical safety tools such as Lock-out/Tag-out, Line Break, and Hot Work permits and procedures
Able to work safely among highly hazardous materials and wear all required PPE including chemical resistant clothing and respiratory protection, as required
COMPENSATION
The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000-$130,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
