Job Description
The Marketing Specialist primarily works with the VP of Marketing & Sales to oversee Student Nutrition?s Businessto Business Marketing and thought leadership initiatives through integrated marketing activities in support of newbusiness development, client retention, and brand awareness for Aramark Student Nutrition.
In this capacity, the position will also oversee the coordination, management, and administration of all aspects ofregional and national level association engagement including conferences, sponsorships, corporate events, andother relationship-building initiatives (internal/external).
Job Responsibilities
Strategy/Value Proposition Refinement (10-15%)
Working closely with all levels of management, continue to refine and improve value proposition for ASN.
Ensure consistent, accurate representation of the value proposition within all materials and programs
Validate the value proposition on an ongoing basis to ensure differentiation and relevancy in the marketplace.
Oversee the development of the annual B2B plan and initiatives including:
Market environment and trend analysis
Program analysis/evaluation
Competitive assessment
Growth opportunity and key issues evaluation
Marketing strategies, tactics and timing.
Business Development Support (25-30%)
Develop prospect and retention content materials including case studies, video testimonials, presentation and proposal templates
Develop digital media strategies, lead management, and other strategies to enhance our ability to sell and retain business
Maintain and update ASN segmentation strategy ensuring that programs are tailored by targeted business segment in target States.
Thought Leadership, Brand Awareness and Lead Generation (30%-35%)
Oversee the creation, implementation, and evaluation of marketing programs to support line of business growth strategies including advertising, public relations, direct marketing, social media, internet, white papers, etc.
Oversee ASN Social Media channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
Work with Corporate Communications and Sales Teams (DBDs) to develop outsourcing/dining services articlesfor trade publication submissions, press releases, speaking engagement submissions, client/prospect newsletters, and other efforts which generate awareness and understanding of ASN in the marketplace.
Continually evaluate and improve the thought leadership initiatives and collateral to maximize return and differentiation in the marketplace.
Lead enhancement in monitoring, tracking, evaluation of all marketing campaign results, and availability off actual results at least once a year.
Conferences/Trade Shows (20%)
Manage the myriad of details - from planning through execution and follow-up - for all industry conferences attended by ASN.
Serve as point of contact with all key constituents (education association personnel, show vendors, internal Aramark team, etc.) for successful management of this critical area of business development marketing.
Prepare and maintain fiscal year show calendar.
Secure booth space, determine appropriate booth set-up/configuration for respective shows; confirm teamattendance and complete registrations, etc.
Work with hotels and convention centers to book rooms and meeting space, as required.
Collaborate with Growth, Operations, other Aramark business unit teams and related vendors to planappropriate exhibit space demonstrations for optimal attendee engagement (i.e., interactive activity, includingfood and facility services demos, onsite roundtables, etc.).
Oversee exhibit company in coordination and execution of all conference details
Budget Management (5-10%):
Demonstrate skilled oversight, knowledge and understanding of the business-to business budget, particularly in the categories of regional and national association spending.
Prepare monthly projections for all Regional and National show expenses and accurate month-end and year-end reconciliations.
Properly classify all pre-payments, invoice expenses, and purchasing card expenses.
Provide accurate and timely budget reporting on monthly basis to Marketing Director.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Superior project management and organizational skills.
5+ years progressively responsible marketing and brand management experience (preferably B2B marketing), with demonstrated success and effective performance.
Experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team based environment within a heavily matrixedorganization.
A strategic and creative problem solver, able to distill large amounts of information into actionable strategies,solid program execution skills.
K12 education, dining services and/or other services marketing experience desirable
External agency management experience
A ?go to? person with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience working with CRM and inbound content management systems such as Hubspot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing cloud, or similar. ABM (Account Based Marketing) experience desired but not necessary
Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of tradeshow planning and execution, including the use of project management tools to coordinate booth layout and design, oversee vendor communications, manage contract negotiations, and ensure timely shipping and delivery of booth materials and other logistics for onsite food sampling. Proficient in digital marketing and email campaign management (HubSpot or experience with other tools) to create targeted messaging, segment audiences, and optimize engagement. (Platform:HubSpot)
Experienced in coordinating the design, production, and distribution of printed marketing materials such as banners, signage, and promotional collateral to support tradeshows, sales, and business development initiatives.
Experience managing LinkedIn content and engagement, including writing and scheduling posts, updating company pages, and tracking performance
Experience maintaining and updating client-facing and internal websites, publishing content, refreshing visuals, and ensuring consistent branding across digital channels. (platform: Adobe Experience Manager)
Comfortable using tools like Canva, Asana, Excel, PowerPoint, Emplifi, and others
