Job Title: Accounting SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will review and reconcile documentation, enter invoices, and maintain records. This role involves resolving discrepancies, responding to vendor inquiries, and processing check runs and month-end accruals. You will deliver professional and timely service to vendors, customers, and internal teams, ensuring inquiries are responded to within 48 hours and invoices are processed within 72 hours.

Responsibilities

Review and reconcile documentation, including packing slips, purchase orders, and requisitions.

Enter invoices and maintain accurate records.

Resolve discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries promptly.

Process check runs and manage month-end accruals and reconciliations.

Deliver timely service to vendors, customers, and internal teams.

Respond to inquiries within 48 hours and process invoices within 72 hours.

Complete accounts receivable invoicing the same day upon receiving shipping paperwork.

Identify and escalate potential financial or compliance issues proactively.

Assist with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and audits.

Provide backup support for payroll and reporting tasks.

Contribute to process improvements and provide front desk coverage when needed.

Record daily deposits and cash receipts accurately.

Generate and file invoices, perform collections, and resolve month-end close issues.

Enforce credit policies effectively.

Essential Skills

3+ years of accounting experience, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Dynamics.

Experience in invoice processing, reconciliation, and journal entries.

Strong data entry skills and general ledger knowledge.

Experience in bookkeeping and payroll management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associate's degree in Accounting required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.

Experience with Business Central or Microsoft Dynamics is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

The role is based onsite, with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
