Data Scientist IV

Our Client, a Mass Media and Entertainment company, is looking for a Data Scientist IV for their Remote location. Responsibilities:

Database Engineering & Optimization

Design, write, and optimize complex MySQL queries for performance and scalability.

Develop recursive table structures to support hierarchical data models and reporting needs.

Implement and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest structured and unstructured data into MySQL databases.

Monitor and tune database performance, ensuring efficient query execution and resource utilization.

Data Visualization & Reporting

Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel to support business intelligence and operational insights.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data models and visualizations.

Systems & Infrastructure Awareness

Apply knowledge of infrastructure and network topologies to support data architecture decisions and system integrations.

Work closely with IT and DevOps teams to ensure data systems align with broader enterprise architecture.

ServiceNow CMDB Integration (Desired)

Develop familiarity with ServiceNow's Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to support asset tracking, dependency mapping, and service impact analysis.

Assist in aligning data systems with CMDB structures to improve visibility and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

SQL Experience

8+ years of experience; MySQL

Data Visualization

8+ years of experience; Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint

Power BI Experience

8+ years of experience; Dashboards

Interest or experience in ServiceNow, particularly CMDB modules, is a plus.

Understanding of recursive data structures and their application in relational databases.

Familiarity with infrastructure components such as servers, networks, and cloud environments.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Proficiency in MySQL, including query writing, indexing, and performance tuning.

Experience with ETL tools and scripting for data ingestion and transformation.

Strong skills in Power BI and Excel for data visualization and reporting.

Tracking obsolete OS.

CMDB Data Rationalization.

We are a configuration management team. We oversee all servers via ServiceNow and provide insight for the data included

8+ years of experience with SQL, data visualization, and Power BI.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
