Overview We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who's passionate about building technology that makes a real impact on how we serve our guests and support our teams. In this role, you'll take the lead in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions that power our retail, distribution, and digital operations. You'll work collaboratively across IT and business teams to align technology with organizational goals-creating tools and systems that improve efficiency, reliability, and the overall guest experience. From enterprise applications and eCommerce platforms to cloud-based solutions, you'll bring ideas to life through thoughtful design and hands-on development. Addition Duties Include: Application Development & Maintenance Design, develop, test, and maintain application code for enterprise, eCommerce, and internal business systems. Create scalable, efficient solutions aligned with company technology standards. Conduct thorough unit testing and coordinate deployment to production. Cloud Architecture & Integration Collaborate across IT to design, implement, and manage cloud-based environments. Lead migration of legacy systems to cloud infrastructure (ie: Azure). Develop and maintain APIs and integrations connecting POS, ERP, Loyalty, eCommerce, and other internal business systems. Security, Compliance & Reliability Implement secure coding standards and ensure compliance with data privacy and protection requirements (PCI, PII, HIPAA). Monitor application performance and participate in incident response and root-cause analysis. Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity standards are met. Collaboration & Vendor Partnership Partner with internal business teams to translate functional needs and business requirements into technical solutions. Participate in design review and cross-functional project planning sessions. Partner with vendors and oversee contracted developers to ensure quality, performance, security standards, and delivery expectations are met. Technical Leadership & Standards Lead and mentor the development team to ensure adherence to coding standards, QA testing, and deployment procedures. Develop and enforce procedures for documentation, version control, and peer reviews. Provide guidance on code quality, architecture, and design decisions. Continuous Learning & Innovation Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices. Contribute to enterprise technology roadmap discussions and suggest modernization opportunities. Act as a mentor and knowledge resource for the IT staff and end users. What's In It For Me? Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience. 5+ year of professional software development experience, including leadership or mentorship of development team. Proven experience in application design, development, and deployment within a multi-system enterprise environment. Technology & System Skills Exceptional SQL Knowledge and ingenuity including SQL Objects (triggers, stored procedures, triggers, UDTs and complex SQL methods) Strong Integration Knowledge and Ingenuity Strong in multiple programming languages (iE Python, Powershell, Java, SQL, C#/.Net Core) Strong knowledge of SSIS and the Microsoft Power Platform Strong understanding of API fundamentals and design Strong in multiple programming languages (iE Python, Powershell, Java, SQL, C#/.Net Core) Strong understanding of Relational Databases including objects, stored procedures and functions. Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks. Experience with data security standards (PCI, HIPAA, or similar) and retail/eCommerce system integrations.
